Horse exports post Brexit

We have received information from the Government & the British Veterinary Association (BVA) regarding changes to travel requirements for horses being exported after Brexit.

We do not want to get into politics here, but with the prospect of a no deal Brexit looking increasingly likely, it is unfortunately looking to become a more complicated process. Additional paperwork and export testing is likely to be required and the agreement allowing free movement of horses between Britain, Ireland and France, as is currently allowed with the Tripartite agreement, will no longer be in place.

If you are looking to travel horses abroad, please either do so before 29.3.19 or give us plenty of notice thereafter…expect delays and do factor them in!

The BVA have issued a very helpful article with regards to how things are likely to change in the coming months. Click HERE to read their '8 point plan for surviving a no deal Brexit'.
