BEVA Congress 2018

BELL EQUINE was well represented at the recent British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) Annual Congress held at the ICC in Birmingham.

The BEVA Congress is Europe's largest equine veterinary conference, attended by well over 1000 equine vets and nurses from all over the world. Various members of our team were invited to speak during the four day conference. Ceri Sherlock spoke on diagnostic imaging, April Lawson (a previous hospital intern and now based at the University of Liverpool) presented the results of a study of post-operative feeding of horses after colic surgery which was undertaken during her time at BELL, and Tim Mair spoke on bladder surgery. Vets Liz Barr, Jane Morgan, Charlotte Baynham and equine veterinary nurse Sam Bradshaw and nursing technician Charlotte Headley also attended the conference.

At the AGM held during the course of the Congress, Tim Mair was instated as President Elect of BEVA and will take up the prestigious role of President of BEVA at the Congress in 2019.
