This course was attended by local practitioners and considered by all present to have been extremely successful and worthwhile. Grant Fraser an Associate Professor from the Ohio State University talked about poblems associated with late pregnancy and foaling, as well as the breeding stallion. Jonathan Pycock from Equine Reproductive Services Ltd covered problems associated with getting mares in foal and how to deal with them and then went on to discuss techniques for artificial insemination and embryo transfer. The practical sessions demonstrated ultrasonographic foetal monitoring, deep uterine insemination under endoscopic guidance and techniques for fetotomy.
